Tanya is a Registered Physiotherapist with over 19 years of experience. She has worked in private clinics for about 12 years and in addition worked in various other settings like hospitals, retirement homes and nursing homes serving the senior population for over 8 years. Tanya is an Advanced Vestibular Therapist and certified to treat Vertigo and dizziness related issues. She is also skilled in treatments of various orthopedic and neurological conditions, TMJ dysfunctions, sports injuries, Falls prevention for seniors and post surgery rehab. She is an ADP authorizer and can assist with prescription of walkers and other home safety and mobility devices. She is also experienced working with young children with neurological and musculoskeletal dysfunctions. As a mother of two young kids herself, she has a caring, empathetic and fun way of dealing with children. Tanya believes in keeping her knowledge updated on latest researches and trends in healthcare through continuing education, courses, workshops and seminars. She has been a member of many interdisciplinary teams and committees and led various meetings, webinars and conferences. As an active person in her personal life, she emphasizes on the importance of exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Dr Ian Anderson

Chiropractor

Dr Ian Anderson is well-known in the Ottawa chiropractic community. He has been practicing as a chiropractor in the Ottawa area for over 25 years. He earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Memorial Chiropractic College in 1996, following completion of his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in 1992. Dr. Anderson’s reputation for working hard for his patients to treat the root cause of their conditions is impressive. His clinical focus includes but is not limited to, the treatment of chronic musculoskeletal and occupational injuries. His patients experience relief from whiplash, headache, repetitive strain, and sports injuries under his care. He is known in his patient circles as the ‘go-to spine and knee guy’. Dr. Anderson uses a blend of gentle treatments such as laser, soft tissue technique, microcurrent, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, manual therapy, exercise therapy, shockwave, and spinal decompression therapy. His practice places a special emphasis on patient education and the provision of tools to patients to make positive lifestyle changes. He believes that by involving patients in their treatment, control over the best results will be in the patient’s corner. Ian and his wife Janice have 3 daughters. When not found at the local hockey rink being the “number one fan” for his competitive hockey-playing children, he enjoys a good game of golf and a variety of leisure activities.

Tatiana Townsend

Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Osteopath

Tatiana is an RMT and practitioner of Osteopathy. As an RMT licensed by CMTO (College of Massage Therapists Ontario), she completed her education at the College International Academy of Massage in Ottawa. To become a Manual Osteopathic practitioner, certified by the National Manual Osteopathic Society (NMOS), she completed her education at SOCO (Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy). Additionally, Tatiana has successfully pursued other education, such as obtaining her Reiki Master Accreditation Certificate.

Tatiana has an extensive background as a health practitioner, having worked in private and public practices, such as physiotherapy clinics, spas, and health care centers. She has treated a variety of demographics. Her scope of practice is not limited to age, as she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors alike.

As the fourth generation of healing and health advocates in her family, Tatiana has more than 16 years of working experience and is well-known in the massage community of Ottawa. Through her practice, she has treated various conditions, including but not limited to: Sports and motor vehicle accident injuries, migraine/tension headache, joint pain, back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, TMJ, repetitive strain injuries, stress, and anxiety disorders. Tatiana specializes in body alignment.

Tatiana believes in a holistic and cooperative approach to treatment, believing in the importance of strengthening the mind and body. She understands that there is not a “one-size-fits-all” method for treatment, as such, she can employ a variety of techniques such as Swedish Massage techniques, Muscle energy technique, Trigger point release, hydrotherapy, manual lymph drainage, myofascial release technique (MFR), cupping, cranial sacral therapy, body alignment and more. She is constantly furthering her knowledge, currently learning to do the “Face Yoga Method”: facial fitness helping to build facial muscle and maintain it naturally. She is studying more specialized courses to help patients recovering from post-concussion as well.

Tatiana stresses the importance of a healthy work-life balance, and she does so by enjoying meditation, facial yoga, sports activities, and improving her spirituality.

Registered Acupuncturist

Harpreet is a Registered Acupuncturist in the province of Ontario and a former General Physician in India. Harpreet has had plenty of practice integrating his health expertise into his sessions. With the combination of his experience and knowledge of over 20 years in the healthcare profession, he uses suitable techniques to treat the patient effectively. Techniques include cupping, gua sha, tuina therapy. All in all, his mastery in pain management and consistent drive for improvement is the reason patients walk away free of pain and lower risk of disease.
